Abovenet provides us with the best peering relationships of any tier one transit provider with close to 1000 public and private peering relationships. By using a network aggregation provider (such as Abovenet) vs. one or two backbone providers we can offer exceptional network resiliency, and performance. One of the key elements in providing a best in class service is providing best in class transit, our current relationship with Abovenet provides us with that capability.

In addition Abovenet provides us with $1M fully redundant power system. The data center has multiple points of entry (MPOEs) entering on multiple, opposite sides of the building. Cooling water, and other utilities serve the building utilizing a ring architecture, which can be re-routed around opposite paths of the building. In essence, these support systems can be cut in half by a chainsaw, and the building will continue to operate normally while repairs are made.

Our internal network architecture provides a fully redundant Cisco based architecture. Our routers are attached to separate switches both on the ingress and egress sides, each with redundant BGP sessions to separate upstream routers, giving us a fully redundant network allowing us to offer fast, reliable service to our customers.
