Client does disable/enable correctly |
|
Some Propel Accelerator Clients were not correctly
disabled or enabled following the background line speed
test. This problem has been addressed and a new line
speed test has been implemented in Version 4.3. The
new test is faster than the previous one and its timing
and frequency yield more accurate results.

Several .bat files remained in root directory causing
new client installation to fail |
|
On some occasions following the removal of the Propel
Accelerator Client, several .bat files remained in
the Windows root directory. As a result, the installation
of a new client could not
complete. The system would display the message “Your
previous uninstallation was incomplete” and
it was not possible to proceed without
manually deleting the remnant files. This problem has
now been corrected.

Windows 2000 priviledge issue |
|
A Windows 2000 user with limited access was allowed
to install and the remove the Propel Accelerator Client,
even though administrator access is required to do
that. This problem has been fixed, and now a warning
message appears if a Windows 2000 user without administrator
privileges attempts to remove or install the software.

The output.log file growing too large. |
|
There was a problem with the file output.log growing
too large and using large amounts of disk space. This
problem can be avoided if you create a new output.log
file each time you restart the Propel Accelerator Client.
When new versions of the file are created, old versions
of it are deleted. This solution alleviates the problem
of a single output.log file getting too big. |
